non factory turbo rebuilds have poor longevity. This was a problem with many of the early "upgrades" that stuffed larger wheels into the housings. I suspect the GT500/525 would be much the same. At least the JWT sport 500's used a Garrett factory CHRA.
If you look at the 530 (based on the Garrett 2554 bb turbo), the housings are not much larger than those of the stock turbos.
